The Flash Season 6: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

1. Barry Allen/The Flash

It shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that the strongest character of The Flash's sixth season is none other than the Scarlet Speedster himself, Barry Allen... because, after all, he is The Flash.

After taking something of a backseat to Clifford DeVoe and Nora West-Allen over the past two years, Barry once again found himself back in the spotlight - something that instantly allowed the show to recapture some of that glory it had during its first three seasons. And even though Barry has been at the forefront of major storylines in the past, Season 6 challenged him in a way that he had never been challenged before.

Granted, The Flash has confronted his own mortality before, but the impending Crisis forced him to realise that nothing he could do would be enough to prevent him from perishing in the multiverse-destroying event, leaving Central City without their hero and, more importantly, his family without him.

Barry wasn't just the strongest character because he showed strength. No, he was strong because he wasn't afraid to show weakness; opening up to his loved ones about his fears - be it the Crisis or Iris' trip into the Mirrorverse.

Once again highlighting why Barry is the most well-nuanced hero in all of the Arrowverse, Season 6 of The Flash gave Grant Gustin the chance to perform some of his finest material yet, and in the process, he added another layer to the Scarlet Speedster's rich character.
