The Flash Season 6 Review: 3 Ups & 5 Downs From 'Love Is A Battlefield'

5. Very Little Flash

The CW

One thing that did prove rather frustrating about this week's episode was its significant lack of Scarlet Speedster. While Barry Allen himself did feature rather prominently in the episode, he only donned that iconic red suit (or "onesie" as we're apparently calling it now) once - and it was in a brief scene at the end of the episode.

Now, this writer will happily admit that he prefers well-developed human drama over mindless heroics for the sake of it any day of the week, but as this episode appeared to opt for the latter, it would have been nice to see it go all in on it and feature some good old-fashioned Flash fun.

This is the second week running that the show has been light on The Flash's heroics, and while that worked perfectly last week, 'Love Is A Battlefield' suffered because of it.
