The Flash Season 6 Review: 3 Ups & 5 Downs From 'Love Is A Battlefield'

4. It's All So Very Cheesy

Look, few shows tackle light-heartedness as well as The Flash does. Heck, the show's first season was built upon just how family friendly it was. So, in theory, an episode like 'Love Is A Battlefield' should have worked really well. But it didn't.

The problem here lay in the fact that this wasn't the reliable heartwarmingly light tone that the first season thrived on, it was the in-your-face slightly cringe-inducing cheesy OTT madness that its fourth season was renowned for - a tone that ensured it was the show's worst.

We've seen before that Amunet Black can work when used right, but this was an example of how the character can bring out the worst in the show... and given how delightful Katee Sackhoff was on-screen, that's a real shame.
