The Flash Season 6 Review: 4 Ups & 3 Downs From 'There Will Be Blood'

Ups...

4. The Halloween Theme

The Flash Season 6
The CW

You gotta hand it to The Flash: They really upped the ante for Halloween. A show that thrives on its familial tone and light-hearted nature, it somehow managed to make 'There Will Be Blood' a grim adventure worthy of that terrifying title and still made it feel like The Flash.

The episode didn't rub Halloween in our faces but merely used it as a backdrop to benefit the current storyline. Rosso's transformation into Bloodwork worked exceptionally well, as it gifted the show with a ton of moody visuals perfect for the occasion - as grim hospital corridors, a vampire-like transformation and a herd of Bloodwork-based zombies garnered our attention.

But the most terrifying thing of them all was the unnerving feel that the doctor himself left us (and Team Flash) with, confirming that Bloodwork has indeed arrived.

A spooky adventure that complemented the narrative, that's how you build up a good villain.
