The Flash Season 6 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'A Girl Named Sue'

3. Sue Dibny Was Worth The Wait

In a way, the writers had backed themselves into a corner with the Sue Dibny arc because, after all the time they spent teasing the introduction of the character, she had to deliver. Well, this writer is happy to report that the show's writers came out of that corner swinging because Sue's introduction wasn't just worth the wait, it exceeded expectations.

With a larger-than-life personality and an eyebrow-raising sense of humour, Sue wasted little time making an impact on viewers. She was vivacious in her mannerisms, sarcastic in her charm and infectious in her approach as Natalie Dreyfuss turned in an electric performance that just made us want to see more of her. But make no mistake about it; this wasn't just a shallow husk relied upon for recklessness, there was a well-rounded character in there with an engaging backstory. Sure, it turns out that this wasn't the backstory she told us, but it's there and it's just waiting to be explored.

If 'A Girl Named Sue' was a job interview for a future position on the show, consider Sue hired!
