The Flash Season 6 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'A Girl Named Sue'

2. The Beginning Of Something Special

The Flash Elongated Man Ralph Sue Dibny
The CW

The moment that Sue Dearbon's name was first referenced in The Flash's Season 5 finale, we knew it was only a matter of time until Ralph found the future Mrs. Dibny. And if that wasn't clear to the non-comic book fans before, it certainly is now.

The chemistry between these two was palpable right from the offset, and the writers didn't hesitate in highlighting that. No matter how or when Sue returns, there's little doubt that she's going to find herself falling for Ralph in the way that he has already so clearly fallen for her and the beauty in that is that it makes both of them that so much more well-rounded.

Ralph has been in need of an engaging storyline of his own - and one that doesn't revolve around his unique brand of in-your-face humour - and it appears that we've finally found it. Again, we always knew this was coming, but the instantaneous chemistry between Hartley Sawyer and Natalie Dreyfuss has already made it that much more interesting.

They say opposites attract, but that certainly wasn't the case here, as the only opposite thing about Sue and Ralph are the sides of the law they are on. Everything else about the pair is darn near identical, and that's fueling their chemistry with each passing scene.
