The Flash Season 6 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Marathon'
Downs...
2. Unnecessary Exposition
If you look closely, you'll find lines of exposition in just about any episode of your favourite TV series. But you don't have to look hard to find them whenever The Flash does returning episodes, because there's usually a lot of information the writers want the viewers to remember and thus, it's vital that they weave them into the dialogue.
This is an understandable approach for an episode such as a midseason premiere, but given that this one also took place after Crisis, there was just too much and that resulted in a lot of clunky dialogue that just didn't feel like lines that would come out of anybody's mouths.
Not everything has to be spelled out - it's okay to trust the viewer sometimes.
