The Flash Season 6 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Exorcism Of Nash Wells'

Downs...

2. Iris' Absence

Yes yes, it's pretty obvious that Candice Patton appeared in 'The Exorcism of Nash Wells' in the role of Iris West-Allen, but we're not talking about her evil reflection right now, okay? We're talking about the real Iris. Y'know, the one trapped in the mirror dimension with Eva McCulloch? Yeah, that one.

Iris really took hold of this season when it returned from its winter break, as her intrepid reporting saw her uncover mysteries about Black Hole that nobody else ever did. But it's beginning to feel like that storyline is starting to drag. The potential is still there, but the pacing is off - so much so that the show is resorting to limited screen-time and episodic absences in order to make us ask less questions about why Iris wouldn't have figured out the truth about Eva yet.
