The Flash Season 6 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Exorcism Of Nash Wells'

3. Barry Allen, The Hero

The Flash Barry Allen
The CW

With Barry Allen's speed on the fritz and his connection to the Speed Force waning, the Scarlet Speedster began to question what it meant to be a superhero. Misplacing an emphasis on the super instead of the hero, he completely wrote himself, believing that he was incapable of taking down new metahuman Sunshine in any viable way without his speed, and this set up an interesting character arc for him as he soon realised how effective he could be... even without that speed.

It may not be the first time the show has used an arc like this to showcase Barry without his powers, but it was arguably its most effective. And, more than anything, it found a way to remind us lot why we fell in love with him in the first place.

Win Barry, win.
