The Flash Season 6 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Last Temptation Of Barry Allen, Pt. 1'

5. And The Word Is... Panic

The Flash Killer Frost Cisco Ramon
The CW

One thing 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 1' really drove home was the impact that the Crisis was going to have on two characters who have been reluctant to show us how they're feeling about it. But that didn't stop it from sparing a moment or two to further the arc of someone we already know is struggling with its impending arrival - and that is none other than Killer Frost.

Frost's recent humanization has been surprisingly fruitful, as by allowing us to see different sides of her personality, we've learned one huge thing about her: She can really feel things. We saw another side to that here as her feeling of absolute helplessness in both Barry and Ralph's Bloodwork situations resulted in a sudden panic attack.

Though Cisco helped her overcome it, she decided to take a backseat in order to allow Caitlin take the wheel during the Crisis. That remote feeling of denial may be a stereotypical defense mechanism but it's one that will undoubtedly lead to more of these intriguing character moments. The Crisis is having a bigger effect on Frost than anticipated, and it's been rather fascinating to see her growing more and more attached to Caitlin's loved ones.
