The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 1 Down From 'Liberation'

1. Grant Gustin and Candice Patton's Performances

The Flash Season 6 Iris West-Allen Candice Patton
The CW

Can we take a moment to appreciate the way that Grant Gustin and Candice Patton absolutely slayed with their performances, please?

The pair are no stranger to putting on a great show - especially whenever they're together - but the on-screen couple were nothing short of electric here, bringing every ounce of frustration and desperation to life before our eyes as Barry and 'Iris' clashed over who was actually who.

Patton once again had to pull double-duty as both versions of Iris, and she once again pulled it off, while Gustin was just brilliant by giving us a very determined Barry Allen. And it's really quite hard to pick a standout performance because all of them were so amazing.

Barry's monologue about the real Iris? Faux Iris' death scene? Barry and Iris' emotional declarations of love to each other? All of it was pure bliss and it highlighted why these two are some of the strongest performers you'll find in any medium. Bliss.
