The Flash Season 7: 9 Theories On The Identity Of The New Big Bad

While Eva McCulloch did indeed turn out to be the main villain of the second half of Season 6, for a while there it wasn't quite certain. The reason being that McCulloch's husband, Joseph Carver, was busy being pretty villainous himself (what with refusing to help his trapped wife and taking over her company while the world thought she was dead). And in order to make his wicked ways work, he employed the diabolical underground organization Black Hole to do his bidding.

However, right before Eva returned and killed her husband, she transported Dr. Light, Sunshine and Ultraviolet to the Mirrorverse. They later returned under her tutelage, with Mirror Master claiming she had freed them from her husband's rule. The problem is that we don't know if these three are their real selves or just more mirror copies that Eva created.

Nonetheless, there was an awful lot of emphasis placed on Black Hole for them to play second fiddle to anyone, and with the show's larger storytelling format these days, don't be surprised if they return to prominence when (or if) Team Flash overcomes Eva.
