The Flash Season 7: 9 Theories On The Identity Of The New Big Bad

5. The Red Death

One character that fans have been clamouring to see rear his terrifying head on The Flash is none other than The Red Death.

A chilling combination of The Flash and Batman, this speed demon was born in the comics when the latter went mad after being surrounded by so much death and took it upon himself to eradicate crime in Gotham City forever by killing anyone who sought to do it harm - including his extensive rogues gallery of villains. However, in order to make that happen, he needed Barry Allen's speed.

The Dark Knight bested his Justice League colleague, tied him to the Batmobile and only went and drove it into the bloody Speed Force. With that, the two heroes were merged and The Red Death was born.

While the character has never appeared on the show before, he was referenced when Barry and Iris entered the mind of their daughter Nora and caught a glimpse of the future Flash Museum. Though that future is no longer intact, it doesn't mean we won't see him turn up at some point... so why not Season 7?

The upcoming season's synopsis teases of a powerful evil... and it doesn't get any more powerful and evil than a revenge-driven murderous Batman with super-speed. And with the Arrowverse's recent connection to the Caped Crusader, it's more possible than ever.
