The Handmaid's Tale Season 2 Review: 7 Ups & 1 Down From 'Women's Work'

3. Serena and June's Evolving Relationship

June and Serena are never going to be best mates or anything like that, but the two have been able to get on speaking terms quite a few times this season.

But their disagreement over June's desire to see her daughter a few episodes back left their relationship in a pretty bad way. Like catastrophic. But, in last week's episode, it appeared that Serena was willing to let sleeping dogs lie, and even asked for June's help to edit some documents.

This week, the two women's relationship continued to evolve, and with that June got up the courage to ask her mistress some serious questions, such as if she misses working. Serena's subtextual response indicates that she does.

The events of the episode left these two pretty much on the same side of the coin for once, and it will be interesting to see how far this new-found camaraderie will go as we move towards the conclusion of Season 2.
