Jen is a character that took many by surprise. She was introduced to the show in a way that made her seem like a bland/passive observer, which is something plenty of sitcoms do to give the audience a lens to look through. But, as fans got to know her, they realised she was way more than this.
Watching Jen navigate the world of IT with absolutely no knowledge was a great foundation to build her on. She clearly wasn't right for this job, and this made for plenty of amazing moments - such as the time she was allowed to "borrow the internet". But, learning more about her dating life, obsessions with climbing the corporate ladder and weird friendship with the others took her to the next level.
Jen was entirely versatile, as one minute she was a straight-laced observer, but the next she was a rage-filled monster, and at other times she was a goofy loser. Katherine Parkinson did an amazing job as the central protagonist of the show, and she only falls behind because of the tough competition.
