As one of the key locations in the show, the watchtower has had many uses. But seeing it used as a weapon was certainly not expected.

Setting up what audiences could anticipate from the episode, Arondir took his revenge against the orcs for enslaving him by destroying the watchtower itself, and leaving them trapped. With bricks and debris raining down, the villainous army certainly took a major blow here.

What made this scene so spectacular was to see the elf in action, firing off many a good shot from his bow to take the orcs down. Although he failed to kill Adar, seeing him be outsmarted by the elf was certainly a taste of his own medicine, which he thoroughly deserved for forcing him and his fellow comrades into slaves.

Arondir has been shown to have the intellect of someone who's lived for so many years, and here, he demonstrated his knowledge of the battlefield, and how one person can change the tide in their favour.
