The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power Episode Six Review - 6 Ups & 3 Downs
7. Up - Númenor's Army Saves The Day
With Galadriel finally setting foot on Middle-earth once again (and with an army to back up her cause), the last-minute save was a dramatic and entertaining moment. But it was also a welcome change to see two of the narratives tie together.
Just as the remaining villagers are about to be killed after doing their best to defend their home, the soldiers of Númenor finally proved their worth as they were able to kill the orcs and free everyone who was trapped inside the tavern.
Demonstrating a number of strategies to quickly take down their foes, it was a brilliantly-choreographed scene that showed Galadriel in an intense moment filled with action, as well as the way her comrades use a variety of weapons to win the fight. Better still, it saw the unity of different characters from multiple storylines coming together for the first time in spectacular fashion.
Elendil and Halbrand may have been major players at this point, but this scene showed just how strong and combat-ready they are after being told about their rich backstories and experience on the battlefield. Using action rather than words, this time, their fans can see why they are so important, and how strong they really are.
