Getting the legendary Werner Herzog for The Mandalorian's first season was a clever way to add some prestige to the show, and his mysterious character - known as The Client - certainly had a deliberate air of intrigue about him. However, some secrets are meant to be exposed with this theory looking to shed light on that mystery.

Sifo-Dyas was an incredibly influential member of the Jedi Council; however, he was removed from the group after his precognitive abilities caused him to become obsessed with creating a Clone Army. Despite being ejected from the council, he went to the Kaminoan cloners and commissioned the army anyway, thus playing a massive part in the Clone Wars. He disappeared under suspicious circumstances afterwards, and this theory from u/Our_Warm_Opal suggests that he would eventually become The Client.

Opal provided a litany of evidence for this, with the main notes being Herzog's physical and vocal similarities to the character's presentation in The Clone Wars series, the fact that both characters had history with Kaminoan cloners and their experiences with the criminal underworld. They also added that Dyas was friends with Count Dooku, meaning he would have been a prime target for Palpatine to turn to the Dark Side.

Fans will always develop fascinating and clever theories when you don't give villains an exact name.
