The Mandalorian: 10 Most Insane Fan Theories

4. Luke Skywalker Is A Clone

Like the Boba Fett theory, this one was rather firmly disproved by The Book of Boba Fett. Regardless it's a highly amusing concept that could bring a popular Star Wars Legends character into the main canon.

This theory suggests that the Luke Skywalker who came to rescue Grogu and the crew at the climax of the show's second season was not the iconic Jedi from the original series. Instead, he was a clone, and not even a nameless one. According to the theory, the character was actually Luuke Skywalker, an evil clone of the Empire toppling hero who appears in the Dark Empire comic series.

The evil version of Luke is a non-canon character from the old Expanded Universe who was grown from the severed hand of the protagonist. This theory would, however, make him an official part of the Star Wars mainline canon.

Of course, there are no prominent signifiers that this is the case, with the only evidence being that the character would want everyone to think he is the original Luke, thus playing the role very well. Still, it's a highly entertaining idea.
