The Mandalorian 2.3 Review - 7 Ups And 1 Down From Chapter 11

Downs...

1. It Does Feel Just A Little Contrived

Mandalorian Season 2 Frog Man

This is probably the nitpickiest of all nitpicks, but does the show this season not feel just... a little bit too convenient to anyone else?

Season 2 of The Mandalorian has felt like it's meandered at times, and the fact Din's journey to find fellow Mandalorians and the Jedi has nearly been accomplished thanks to chatting to a gangster and then Peli Motto just makes the universe feel a little less grand in scale.

It matters very little in the grand scheme of things, but given the show has excelled when it comes to introducing expanded universe characters when the narrative suits, it is a little weird that it hasn't been able to move from A-B quite as gracefully.

As for what lies ahead, Din Djarin is now on his way to meeting Ahsoka Tano. That is SERIOUSLY exciting, and with everything else that was teased in Chapter 11, it would seem that Season 2's slow start has finally come to an end.
