The Mandalorian 2.7 Review - 6 Ups And 1 Down From Chapter 15
Down...
1. The Slow Start (And The Amount Of Lingering Plot Threads)
This is more down to the fact that, to begin with, the premise for Chapter 15 didn't sound all that appealing. Like most of my criticisms of Season 2, it did very little to take the shine off of things - and it's a testament to Chapter 15 that the episode grew on me as much as it did.
If anything, the only anxiety that remans regarding Season 2 is that the finale may not be as substantial as we're all hoping. I know I literally just said that Chapter 16 could be the series' biggest episode yet, but the fact remains that Season 2 has a lot of dangling threads and that there's a strong chance not all of them will be resolved come the end of next week.
This is pure speculation granted, but I can't shake the sense of excitement and nervousness I have regarding next week's episode. It's doubtful that it'll disappoint, but fans may have to temper their expectations and exercise a little patience when it comes to certain arcs receiving closure.
When The Mandalorian is this good though, you know that - even if it takes a whole other season to get more answers - it'll be more than worth the wait. Better to savour it now and just enjoy the ride, than to stress that it may have bitten off more than it can chew.
