The Mandalorian: 3 Jedi Masters Likely To Train Baby Yoda (And 3 Who Aren't)
3. Ezra Bridger - Likely
Yes, his fate is up in the air right now but it is very likely we'll see his character in live action - and what better place for him than as Grogu's new master?
If it's not going to be Ahsoka, then Ezra Bridger is the obvious choice. He's the one character who fans want to see in live action as much or maybe even more than her. With Dave Filoni as one of the two showrunners, he is also very much on the table.
Unlike Ahsoka, Ezra is not a classically trained Jedi and would have no concerns about Grogu's attachment to Din. If anything he, like Luke, has come to learn how important attachments can be. He's also not unfamiliar with the kinds of circles that Mando runs in and would do a great job of fitting into the series.
The main issue is whether Filoni wants to push this button yet. Ezra's fate has been hanging since the end of Rebels and with a possible Ahsoka series on the horizon, it might just be that he wants to save the reveal until then.
