The Mandalorian: 3 Jedi Masters Likely To Train Baby Yoda (And 3 Who Aren't)
1. Cal Kestis - Likely
Cal Kestis is a fully canon character who not only survived Order 66 but held his own against the inquisitors and even managed to escape his encounter with Darth Vader alive. His luck and survival skills make him a pretty good candidate to keep Grogu safe from Moff Gideon and Thrawn.
He is also a character whose fate is not so up in the air as Ezra's. The last time we saw him he was alive and well and in no immediate danger. This means that in the 20 or so years following the events of the game, he could literally turn up anywhere. His future was left as a blank slate and it would definitely be fitting for him to come back in live action and interesting to learn what's become of him in all that time.
Cal is also a character who is invested in the idea of rebuilding the Jedi order. Like Ahsoka he was classically trained and may have concerns about the child's attachment to Din. However, unlike Ahsoka, one of Cal's ambitions has been to find and train force sensitive younglings. Knowing how long Baby Yoda can potentially live, training him would represent an opportunity to ensure the longevity of the Jedi - especially now that the Empire no longer poses as significant a threat as they once did.
It's also worth noting that this character was tailor made for a live action transition. He was designed to look like Cameron Monaghan, the actor who portrays him in the game. Recognizable to some as Jerome from Gotham, he is definitely no stranger to TV. While the actor is in his late 20s and the character would be in his early 40s by this point, with a bit of facial hair, he could probably play older without presenting a problem.
Ultimately Cal is the choice that has no downside. The character is well known and well positioned for a leading role on TV. If Ahsoka doesn't train Grogu, he is the man for the job.
