Led by Pre Vizsla, the Death Watch appeared during the Clone Wars as advocates for a return to the Mandalorians historical way of life. Duchess Satine had long pushed for her people to adopt a more peaceful lifestyle, something she had achieved success with prior to the events of the Clone Wars.

Pre Vizsla believed that to be a betrayal of everything the Mandalorian culture stood for. He advocated fo the violent roots of his people, a focus on war and combat. The Death Watch, which initially counted Satine's sister Bo-Katan among their number, followed him on that mission.

The group appeared in Clone Wars being manipulated by Maul. They next appeared with the Sabine and her family against the Empire in Rebels. Now in The Mandalorian, they pop up in Din Djarin's flashbacks as the fighters who saved him as a boy. Their current whereabouts will hopefully come up in season two as they are a fan favorite faction.
