The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Best Moments
1. Luke Skywalker's Incredible Entrance - Chapter 16
If there was one person that no one was expecting to make a sudden appearance in The Mandalorian, it was Luke Skywalker. The series had made mention of another Jedi who would be searching for Grogu after he called out to them in Chapter 14, but the reveal that it was the franchise's original protagonist came entirely out of left field.
The segment is utterly breath-taking, as the dark shadows make Luke's green sabre look utterly hypnotic, and although it's clear who it is the figure is cloaked and holds back on revealing too much. Additionally, there had been so much build up around the Death Troopers, so to see Luke efficiently dispatch them was an excellent indicator of his strength.
This entrance has a very similar vibe to Darth Vader's moment of destruction at the culmination of Rogue One, and like father like son, this one delivers the same energy, whilst not feeling too derived from it.
After the treatment that Luke has gone through in the new trilogy, it was incredibly heart-warming to see him back in the driving seat. Audiences know that Luke's further Jedi training does not go well - as seen in the latest films - so curiosity is sky high for what will happen to Grogu next.
