The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Best Moments

3. Boba Takes The Throne - Chapter 16

The Mandalorian Grogu
Lucasfilm

Seeing Boba Fett back in action within this second season was everything that Star Wars fans were hoping for. From his initial appearance, the use of Slave I's seismic blast, and finally his final scene, Boba lived up to the reputation that had been established for him in this universe.

The post-credit scene after the emotional farewell of Grogu and Din needed to work hard to gain fans attention, as many of them were likely still reeling from the reveal of Luke and the separation of the leading pair - and it certainly did just that.

It's revealed that Bib Fortuna is still alive and has assumed the hole left behind by Jabba the Hut. Fortuna looks appropriately aged, and it is fun to see the character in a leadership position, even if it only lasts for a minute or so. After he pathetically attempts to convince Boba that he is excited about the bounty hunter's return, he is quickly dispatched and Boba takes his place on the throne, leading to the reveal of the upcoming "The Book of Boba Fett".

It's like the showrunners are spoiling fans here, as they get to see a beloved character return, then see a great claiming of power, and finally a reveal that more Star Wars is coming. It is easily one of the best moments of the series.
