That's right, he's baaaaack!

As mentioned, Expanded Universe stories revealed that Boba Fett managed to blast his way out of the Sarlacc Pit thanks to his trusty jetpack, but the short of him at the end of this episode shows him watching Din Djarin from afar in dark robes and with a couple of weapons slung across his back.

When he turns around, actor Temuera Morrison's face is revealed; the actor played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, and as his son Boba was a clone, it makes sense that he's grown up to look exactly like his father. He's now aware of Din's existence, and the fact he's in possession of his old armour, so the two men coming face-to-helmet now seems inevitable.

If Jawas salvaged or stole Fett's armour, chances are his ship is gone now too, so he's no doubt been trapped on Tatooine ever since his defeat in Return of the Jedi. Din could be his ticket out of there, though, and it's likely he's been tracking him he since found Fennec Shand's body during season one.

That must have been Fett because Cobb Vanth never mentions the assassins and doesn't have those trademark spurs despite wearing the armour.
