The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Biggest Moments And Reveals In "The Passenger"

8. An Ant-Man Easter Egg

"The Passenger" isn't quite as heavy on Easter Eggs as last week's season premiere, but there's one Marvel Studios fans will definitely appreciate. Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp director Peyton Reed helms this episode, so it's not exactly a surprise when Peli Motto is shown playing Sabaac with an alien that greatly resembles an ant!

It's brought to life with practical effects, and depending how much of a fan you are of those "classic" Star Wars puppets, your mileage may vary when it comes to how good - or bad - this thing looks.

Reed has developed something of a reputation as a filmmaker for delivering subpar results in top tier franchises, and his episode of The Mandalorian is arguably the weakest to date. There's a lot of good here, but as Chapter 10 is primarily filler, stronger direction may have helped ensure that it stood out a little more than it ultimately does.

Still, this is a fun Easter Egg, and what comes next should definitely make Star Wars fans happy...
