The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

7. More Mandalorians AND The Return Of The Armourer

When we first saw our protagonist's fellow Mandalorians, they were a close group of outcasts living in secret. From what was hinted about the fate of Mandalore, it sadly seems that this is not uncommon.

Groups of Mando'ade could be scattered around the galaxy, living in secret just as Din's people were. As the second season will see Mando scouring the galaxy for hidden Jedi, there's every chance he could uncover some of his own kind as well.

These could be the survivors from his clan; after the ass-kicking they gave to the Bounty Hunter's Guild it's hard to believe that none of them made it out alive. More excitingly, it seems almost certain that the Armourer will show up again. We'll all be eagerly awaiting the repeat of one of the most unconventional fights in Star Wars, bringing back her hammer and tongs to crack open some imperial plastoid.

Of course, it's also confirmed that the original bounty hunting Mandalorian, Boba Fett, will be making an appearance. Nine years after he disappeared into the Sarlaac Pit, we'll get to see exactly what Fett has been up to in this new galaxy without his former employers.

My passion for all things Sci Fi goes back to my earliest days, when old VHS copies of Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet gripped my tiny mind with their big, noisy vehicles and terrifying puppets. I'd like to say my taste got more refined over the years, but between the Warhammer, Space Dandy and niche Star Wars EU books, perhaps it just got broader. I've enjoyed games of all calibre since I figured out that dice weren't just for eating, and have written prose ever since I was left unsupervised with some crayons next to a white wall. I got away with it by calling it "schoolwork" for as long as I could, and university helped me keep the charade going a while longer. Since my work began to get published, it's made all those long hours repainting the walls seem worth it.
