The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Things That NEED To Happen

5. Sparingly Used Cameos

One of the coolest things about this show by far was the lack of an over abundance of cameos from the rest of the franchise. The show made the Star Wars universe feel all the more alive because it was set so outside of the events of the films. To the point where Din doesn't even know what a Jedi is, despite a Jedi being the one who broke the Empire to begin with.

But with season 2 guaranteeing/alluding to upcoming appearances from Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, Captain Rex, and Sabine Wren, that could end up changing. More appearances from other characters SOUNDS good on paper, and it is good that they're limiting cameos to people who would have actual realistic chances of running into Din and Baby Yoda, but some serious restraint is required here.

Rebels, while still great, was only hurt by the constant bombardment of cameos and guest appearances later in its life. So while the cameos that are planned ARE okay ideas, they should be used sparingly, and the focus should always stay on Din and Baby Yoda's journey.
