One of the more recent additions to Star Wars expanded fiction before the Disney buyout was Star Wars: The Old Republic. Like the KOTOR games from which it derives its name, this MMORPG takes place so far long ago from the original trilogy that how canon it is is completely up to the creators.

Well, with Mandalorian Season 2, we have by far the biggest addition to the Star Wars canon from that currently running MMORPG: the planet Tython.

Tython, according to the game, is the original ancestral home of the Jedi, which makes perfect sense why Din would need to take Grogu there in order to find another Jedi.
