By now most if not all fans are aware of the big twist at the end of Season 2, whether they want to be or not (damn you spoilers). But there's a lot more going on in terms of fan service than just the surface level appeal of watching young Luke Skywalker walk about like he HADN'T aged 40+ years.

The first noticeable thing about the scene, beyond the obvious stuff happening on screen, is the music, which, of course, is a pitch perfect reprisal of John Williams' theme for Luke. They didn't get John Williams back for this single episode, as that would be something of a waste of the talents of the greatest composer in Hollywood, but it is always nice to hear the old Williams score again.
