While not everyone loved Rogue One, the best scene that pretty much everyone can agree on was Star Wars giving fans what they only kinda knew they always wanted: getting to watch Darth Vader just go to town on a hallway full of hapless rebel soldiers.

Shame, of course, that we don't get to see the opposite happen - getting to watch Luke Skywalker make mince meat out of the Empire. Oh but wait, that's exactly what we get.

As a lead up to Luke's true appearance, we get to see him utterly lay waste to the Dark troopers, trading out the hype of seeing Din go head to head against them in favor of the much more tantalizing fan service of getting to see Luke not even take a scratch as he decimates them. And it IS fan service, make no mistake, but it's the best kind of fan service, so we can't complain that much.
