3. Sandy Hook Elementary Massacre

Sandy Hook Atlantis Cable News is no stranger to mass shootings; in its final moments, the fourth episode of "The Newsroom" dealt with the mass shooting in Tucson, Arizona that targeted Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords at a supermarket rally. It was nearly two years later when 20 year old Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 20 schoolchildren and six faculty members. It's hard to think about without feeling sick, which is why this is the perfect story to tackle on this show. Will, who has established that he dislikes guns, could further ignite the furor of Leona Lansing by chastising the NRA on air due to the increase in membership following the Sandy Hook shooting.
