The Office: 10 MORE Insane Details You Definitely Missed

3. Dunder Mifflin Has A Certificate For Cutting Down 1 Million Trees

The Office insane detail

Enter any office around the world and you'll find any manner of back-patting gumpth plastered on the walls - mission statements, motivational posters, and certificates most of the office have never even once glanced at.

The set-dressers working on The Office utilised that fact to their favour, allowing them to sneak gags into the background of Dunder Mifflin's office which the overwhelming majority of viewers would never notice.

On the left-hand side of the reception desk hangs a framed "One Million Trees Cut" award from the Rain Forest Harvesters Association, presumably for the sheer amount of business they've brought the company.

It's incredibly hard to make out the accompanying text, but it reads:

"Whereas the Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company has demonstrated excellence in the total disregard of the environment in its utilisation of the vast resources of rain forests across the globe, the association has awarded them this citation."

Genius.
