The Office: 10 Most Hated Characters

6. Ryan Howard

The Office Jan
NBC

When Ryan Howard first started with Dunder Mifflin, he genuinely seemed like one of the most normal characters in the office. He just wanted a job to help him get through business school, he wasn't part of the weird work family, and he was made uncomfortable by Michael Scott just like any normal person would be.

It wasn't until David Wallace offered him Jan's old job at corporate that he truly became despised by all. His ego grew to ridiculous proportions, he looked down on everyone around him, and his failure cost the company so much money that he never should have worked another day with them.

It may have seemed impossible, but he somehow got even worse after this. His time with the Michael Scott Paper Company saw him develop into nothing short of a douchebag, as he began acting so entitled, and he treated Pam like dirt. From here he grew into a hipster that absolutely no one could stand.

It was his relationship and his treatment of Kelly that was the icing on the cake of how awful he was as a person. He cheated on her and treated her terribly, and wouldn't take the blame for anything that he did wrong. All this without even mentioning that he purposefully gave his own child an allergic reaction and dumped him with Kelly's boyfriend.
