The Office: 10 Weirdest Things Found In Dunder Mifflin
8. Dwight's Beet
Dwight Schrute is as synonymous with beetroots as he is with bears and Battlestar Galactica - no wonder when one takes his 60 acre beet farm into account.
As such, Dwight is hardly short on supplies when it comes to this particular commodity, making the fact that he is growing a single beet in Dunder Mifflin's office all the more bizarre. In another blink-and-you'll-miss-it instance of strangeness, Season 6's St Patrick's Day reveals that Dwight has one of his trademark vegetables flowering in a jar next to his desk - complete with a full on LED grow-light.
It's hard to decide what's weirder; the fact that Dwight is growing the beet in the first place or the notion that everybody would carry on working without questioning as to why a portion of their office had been turned into an actual greenhouse.
Based on its prominent placement, one could hazard a tentative guess that Dwight must be carefully nurturing some form of prize specimen - the sort of beet that makes one pull the car over and go, "Wow, I need this beet right now."
After all, those are the money beets.
