4. Outing Oscar Then Forcibly Kissing Him
The Office was no stranger to cringe-inducing episodes, as the show's awkwardness was always one of its key selling points. Amongst the series' catalogue of horrible episodes comes the ever difficult to watch "Gay Witch Hunt", in which Michael makes himself out to be a fool and does some awful things to Oscar.
During this outing, Michael got into trouble for calling Oscar a homophobic slur. He's told that the term is offensive due to Oscar being gay. To quell this, he tried to apologise to Oscar but inadvertently ended up outing him in front of the entire office. As this was a personal matter for Oscar, it caused him significant distress, especially after receiving a backlash from Angela.
Oscar soon revealed that he no longer wanted to work in this environment, and to stop him from going, Michael tried to hug him. The scene soon devolved as, after an altercation, Michael decided to prove a point by forcibly kissing Oscar in front of everyone, with no concern for the fact that Oscar didn't want to.
If you look at his actions in this episode on paper, it's terrifying. So it's a miracle that the show managed to make this such a memorable moment.
