The Office: 10 Worst Things Michael Scott Ever Did
2. Led The Abysmal Diversity Day
Michael Scott is a very likeable guy, despite all of his flaws. He tried too hard to be loved by everyone, but that often gave him this weirdly sweet and pitiful energy that made viewers forgive him easily. But, oh boy, it was tough to do that with this one.
This entire episode was painful from start to finish as Michael Scott had barely any credentials to be leading a trip to the supermarket, let alone a sensitive day of diversity training.
The episode began with a guest speaker coming to Dunder Mifflin to deliver sensitivity training, to which Michael also attempted to join in and ruined it completely. He even performed an offensive Chris Rock impression and was upset when the speaker highlighted his problematic behaviour.
To try and redeem himself - and probably "prove" he isn't racist - Michael decided to run his own session and forced all of his staff to wear post-it notes labelling them as certain ethnicities/nationalities and racially profiling each other.
Thankfully, he did get a small amount of comeuppance after delivering an incredibly racist Indian stereotype to Kelly and getting promptly slapped in the face. Still, he probably deserved way worse for this one.
