The Office: 12 Most Cringeworthy Scenes

Almost from the very beginning, this episode was just so difficult to watch and cringeworthy that when many people rewatch the series, they skip it. Michael and Jan's dinner party is just too horrifying and awkward to willingly put yourself through.

Jim describes the evening in the best possible way, it was like their hosts were playing a game of 'let's see how uncomfortable we can make our guests', and they were both winning. They went through passive aggressive comments to outright arguing, mean jabs at each other, awkward silences, and truly aggressive moments that ended with a Dundie being thrown through a $200 plasma TV.

The entire episode is difficult to watch, but its crowning glory of true cringe is when Michael and Jan argue over his vasectomy. Out of nowhere, Michael delves into the details of Jan forcing him to have a vasectomy, then reverse it, then reverse reverse it, as her mind changed over having a child. This gets even worse later on in the series when it's revealed that she went to a sperm bank when they were still together anyway.

As if more proof was needed, this was an even further window into Jan's maliciousness, her manipulation, and just how toxic she was for Michael. This would have been a runaway winner of the cringiest moment if not for one gloriously horrible season six moment...
