9. Tony Tries To Climb On The Table
When the Stamford branch of Dunder Mifflin closed, Michael Scott had the job of integrating the five new staff members that came over into Scranton. Immediately, there was a clear divide, with most of the newbies not feeling particularly welcomed.
Andy, Karen, Hannah, Martin, and Tony were left unimpressed by Michael's 'Lazy Scranton' orientation video, Creed was caught taking inappropriate pictures of Hannah, and Karen couldn't get on with Phyllis' perfume. Michael being Michael tried to help everyone get on the same page in his own unique way, which involved the Stamford colleagues sitting on chairs on the table.
Tony was much larger than the other four already sitting on the table, and anyone from the Scranton office, but when he told Michael he couldn't physically climb up, his boss still expected him to try. To make things worse, he tried to help and even got Dwight involved.
No one needed to be on the table in the first place, yet before long Michael and Dwight were underneath Tony with one leg/butt cheek each, trying to hoist him up onto the table in a display that was painfully awkward to watch. It really is no surprise that Tony immediately quit.
