The Office: 12 Most Cringeworthy Scenes
7. Diversity Day
When Michael performed a Chris Rock routine at work that some in the office found racially insensitive and offensive, Mr. Brown was sent to Dunder Mifflin to put him through a diversity course. This would have been fine, but Michael couldn't be criticised, and wouldn't be outdone, so he decided to put on a diversity day of his own.
The entire thing was done in incredibly poor taste, as he had his staff run through hurtful and offensive stereotypes, and tried to get them each to name a race that they are sexually attracted to. The entire thing was tough to watch.
However, the worst part came after Kelly Kapoor left the session. Michael decided to do the most racially insensitive impression of an Indian shopkeeper, and needless to say upon her return, with no context of the horrendous race-guessing game they were playing, Kelly was wildly offended.
There have been many characters throughout The Office who would have loved to slap Michael Scott's face. It was no surprise when Kelly actually did it, and she was more than justified in doing so.
