The Office: Every Christmas Episode Ranked From Worst To Best
5. Secret Santa
Set against the backdrop of Dunder Mifflin potentially going-out-of-business or being sold, the employees at the Scranton branch are all slightly on edge in this festive edition.
The episode centres around that fact that it has always been Phyllis's dream to be Santa at the Christmas party, which has been okayed by Jim for the first time making her very happy, though nobody has informed Michael and he turns up as Santa too.
We all know that Michael was capable of being the pettiest and most peevish of individuals on any given day and it was on full display here as he repeatedly tries to steal being Santa away from Phyllis. Culminating in him dressing up as Jesus in order to beat Phyllis as the centre of attention.
The episode may not match the standards of some of the rest but is a riot nonetheless, and features some of the best secondary storylines in any Christmas episode. With Andy essentially (and accidentally) torturing Erin with his secret Santa gift to her, which involves literally giving her the 12 days of Christmas; as well as Oscar's crush on the new warehouse guy, Matt, and David Wallace revealing that they are all safe from losing their jobs.
It marked the end of the pure Dunder Mifflin era in the show, which was a shame, but did usher in the Sabre era and the ownership of Jo Bennett.
