The Office: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best

13. Stanley Hudson

Placing Stanley above the previous roles may be slightly unfair, as there is no denying that he was one of the most one-note characters in the series. However, he gets a bump up in the ranking because this one-note is executed to perfection. The Office would have felt a little less bright had Mr Hudson not been there.

Anyone who has ever worked in an Office environment, or even a workplace itself can attest to the fact that there is often an older member who is disgruntled, and well past the point of caring. While this is a sad concept, it did give Stanley this almost bulletproof persona, as he cared so little about his job that he will talk back to his superiors and take any excuse to reduce his workload.

This led the role to many brilliant moments and made him highly relatable to fans. Therefore whenever tragedy would strike him, it was easy to get invested. Unfortunately, as stated above, he cannot rank higher than this position because he only played toward one archetype and never developed.
