The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are two of the most popular shows to come from The CW Network.
Set in the town of Mystic Falls, The Vampire Diaries came first in 2009 and ran for eight epic seasons. It followed the life of teenager Elena Gilbert as she struggled to come to terms with her new supernatural lifestyle. The Salvatore brothers definitely turned her life upside down.
The Originals aired in 2013 in the middle of The Vampire Diaries, and was the perfect spin-off series. Centring around vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson and his family, it continued to explore into the very first vampires in existence.
With both shows being so similar, it's often hard to distinguish what happened on which show. Today however, we are concentrating specifically on The Originals.
