The Queen’s Gambit definitely ranks up there as one of the best TV shows of the year, and also, one of the best miniseries that Netflix has originally produced.

Netflix has produced some incredible content over the past 8 years, with some of their best miniseries including The Haunting of Hill House, Unbelievable (2019) and When They See Us (2019). And, The Queen’s Gambit definitely deserves a place up there with those masterpieces.

Everything on this show is just so good, from its acting to it’s production values to it’s writing and directing, that it would be hard for anyone to deny that it’s practically a perfect miniseries from beginning to end.

If they are ever going to produce a second season of this series, it might be welcomed as long as they keep up this quality, but maybe it might just work better as a stand-alone series. Why would they want to ruin something so special?

Let’s see what the legacy for The Queen’s Gambit may turn out to be (hopefully, it will sweep all kinds of awards next year), but at the moment, it may in fact be the best Netflix Original miniseries to date.
