The Simpsons: 10 Best Nameless Characters
1. Blue Haired Lawyer
Topping the list is the nasal, weasley, obnoxious embodiment of amoral attorneys everywhere - the Blue Haired Lawyer.
Whether he’s representing Mr Burns, Sideshow Bob, Disney, or some other evil entity, this unscrupulous mercenary is here to uphold the law no matter how mean-spirited, whether it’s an attempt to shut down Skinner’s school fair, or file a lawsuit against Grandpa for imitating bygone movie stars.
He often appears in the courtroom in opposition to the Simpson family, and has used some brazen lawyerly tactics:
In defence of Sideshow Bob he asks the courtroom “who here is thinking about killing [Selma] right now?”, to which everyone raises their hand.
And during Marge’s shoplifting trial he asks the jury who they find more attractive between Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson because he is “so sure of Marge Simpson’s guilt” that he can “waste the court’s time by rating the super hunks.”
Lionel Hutz, the incompetent antithesis to the Blue Haired Lawyer, then whispers “Ooh, he’s going to win.”
The Blue Haired Lawyer doesn’t need a name, he simply represents all that is crooked in the legal system.
