The Simpsons: 10 Best Nameless Characters
2. Old Jewish Man
The Simpsons has a glorious host of geriatric characters.
From Mr Burns to Hans Moleman, Springfield’s senior citizens provide some of the show’s funniest moments.
One such is the Old Jewish Man, an often belligerent resident at Springfield’s Retirement Castle, and companion of Abe and Jasper.
However, his biggest claim to fame is his dance skills.
In "Krusty Gets Kancelled", Krusty is destitute and offering to drop his pants for food, only to be outdone by the Old Jewish Man "giving it away for free" - dancing pantless on a street corner singing 'Old Grey Mare.' This act even gets him a television slot along with his own troupe of shuffling Crazy Old Man dancers (all to Krusty's dismay).
His other notable dance move occurs when Bart opens a door in the Retirement Castle to reveal Old Jewish Man, prompting him to ask "Can your Grandpa do this?" and crack out a leg kicking, knee slapping jive.
Old Jewish Man is possibly the most frequently recurring character on the list yet to be given a name, not that he ever needs one.
