The Simpsons: 10 Best Nameless Characters

3. Just Stamp The Ticket Man

The Simpsons Blue Haired Lawyer
FOX

At first glance this large-nosed fellow is just one of many background characters that make up the citizens of Springfield.

But look closer at the series and you’ll see him recur as an everyman who is prone to making withering remarks or flat out punching people.

He tells Marge that his hypothetical children wouldn’t be stupid enough to think her necklaces are cool. When Homer says to him “You look like a man who needs help pleasing his wife” he hits him right in the face.

He also does not like being offered flyers, telling a diaper-clad Barney "You sicken me", and a Queens Guard-apparelled Squeaky Voiced Teen "Don't touch me."

And keep an eye out for him as the Stonecutter who attaches the Stone of Shame to Homer.

Just Stamp the Ticket Man represents the antagonistic public at large. The impatient jerks that well-meaning retail vendors have to deal with. The uninterested man-on-the-street who will never take a flyer or tip a busker.

He is a jaded man with no time to indulge other people’s dreams. As he says to Ned in the Leftorium, “Just stamp the ticket.”
