Albeit a very brief visual gag, Lisa going from her bizarre starfish hairdo to the side-buns of Princess Leia is quite an amusing moment in season four's Lisa The Beauty Queen. Although it is of the "blink and you'll miss it" variety, it's a sign of how much attention to detail the show puts into each and every episode. Of course, Lisa looks absolutely ridiculous with the buns, and quickly moves on to a different style. There's no mention of Star Wars by name, mind you, but it's obvious to any genre fan just what they're getting at in having Lisa don that particular hairdo. What makes it great? Lisa actually makes a surprisingly good Leia.
